We have been investigating light in our science topic this half term, and this week we used a very old-fashioned photography technique called Cyanotype. It was a real experiment, and none of us knew whether it would work… But it did!
Aiden is writing up a set of instructions on how to create these ‘photos’ but we created scenes on clear acetate which we then put on top of specially prepared paper. We left them in the sun, then washed the paper. What do you think of our results? I think they are great!
I (Mr Sloan) had to do some of the work because of the chemicals involved, and we had to be careful about the way we worked, but I think it was great fun – what did you think?
